Hey everyone! Putting together a sub-$800 gaming & coding build for college. Main games are Valorant, Rocket League, CS2, and occasional Warzone. Need Wi-Fi 6E built-in and at least 32GB RAM for virtual machines.

Here is my draft list:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-13400F ($149)
- Cooler: Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined ($18)
- Motherboard: ASRock B760M Pro RS/D4 WiFi ($124)
- RAM: Silicon Power 32GB DDR4-3200 CL16 ($52)
- GPU: XFX Speedster SWFT 210 RX 6650 XT 8GB ($219)
- SSD: Western Digital Black SN770 1TB NVMe ($74)
- Case: Montech AIR 100 ARGB MicroATX ($59)
- PSU: MSI MAG A650BN 650W 80+ Bronze ($54)

Total comes to roughly $749 before tax. Any obvious bottlenecks or better price-to-performance swaps?

Solid list for $750! However, for $10 more you can grab an RX 7600 or Intel Arc B580 which offers AV1 hardware encoding and newer driver branch support. Also, if you can stretch another $25, jumping to AM5 (Ryzen 5 7500F / 7600 + DDR5) will give you a massive upgrade path through 2027.

I second the AM5 suggestion if possible, but if you are strictly capped at $800, keep this Intel build! The SN770 is great, and the Montech Air 100 includes 4 pre-installed ARGB fans which saves you having to buy extra case fans. Just make sure to enable XMP in the BIOS on first boot.
