Sharing this fix for anyone getting a black screen or 'No Signal' when turning on their PC via DisplayPort 1.4, where Windows only displays after HDMI is plugged in or after pressing Reset.

Symptoms:
- Motherboard VGA debug LED stays solid white.
- Monitor doesn't wake from deep sleep until Windows reaches the login screen.
- Entering BIOS is impossible over DisplayPort.

The Fix:
1. NVIDIA has an official 'NVIDIA Graphics Firmware Update Tool for DisplayID and DP 1.4 Displays'. Run this in Windows to patch the GPU VBIOS GOP driver.
2. In Motherboard BIOS: Disable CSM (Compatibility Support Module) entirely and set 'Windows UEFI Mode'.
3. Turn off 'Deep Sleep' in your monitor's OSD menu.

Tested on ASUS, LG UltraGear, and Dell Alienware monitors—fixes the handshaking issue 100% of the time.

Spent 3 days thinking my new 4K 144Hz monitor was defective. Ran the NVIDIA DisplayID firmware patch tool and it instantly fixed the cold boot handshake. Thank you!
