Built a zero-RGB acoustic workstation for high-end orchestral music production (Cubase/Logic) and DaVinci Resolve 4K HDR grading. Primary goal was zero coil whine and sub-22dB noise during heavy audio buffer playback.

Components:
- Case: Fractal Design North XL Charcoal Black with Genuine Walnut front panel & Mesh side
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9900X (12C/24T)
- Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 G2 LBC (Low Base Convexity AM5)
- Fans: 5x Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 PWM chromax
- Mobo: ProArt B650-Creator (Dual 2.5G + 10G Aquantia NIC)
- RAM: 96GB (2x48GB) Crucial Pro DDR5-5600 JEDEC (1.1V for maximum thermal stability)
- GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Ventus 3X 16GB
- Storage: 1x 1TB Samsung 990 Pro (OS) + 2x 4TB Lexar NM790 (Sample Libraries & Scratch Disk)
- PSU: be quiet! Dark Power 13 850W Titanium

Results: At 60% CPU load, system cannot be heard over ambient room noise. Zero drops during 128-buffer tracking.

The Walnut front panel on the North XL is timeless. Using JEDEC standard 1.1V RAM is such a smart choice for audio workstations—no EXPO training delays or IMC degradation over months of uptime.

How are the temps on the NH-D15 G2 with the 9900X? Did you need any fan curves tweaking?
